This policy applies to the publicly available version of the BloomSense mobile application (iOS and Android), published by Omnise.

Privacy Policy

1. What BloomSense Collects

BloomSense collects different types of data depending on how you use the app.

Private Health Data (visible only to you):

  • pH readings, symptoms, and context (including menstrual period flow and intimacy/sexual activity data)
  • Custom tags and reminders
  • This data is stored locally on your device. If you create a registered account, it is also encrypted and synced to our cloud servers for backup and cross-device access.

Community Profile Data (visible to other users):

  • Display name, anonymous alias, avatar emoji, and bio
  • Posts, comments, likes, and bookmarks
  • Uploaded images

Account & Identity Data:

  • Email address (if you sign in with Google or Apple)
  • Authentication tokens and user identifiers
  • Device push notification tokens (registered users only)

2. Guest vs. Registered Accounts

Guest Users: You can use BloomSense without creating an account. Your health data is stored locally on your device only. You can participate in the community with an anonymous profile, but your data cannot be recovered if you uninstall the app.

Registered Users: When you sign in with Google or Apple, your health data is synced to our cloud servers. Your community profile and activity are associated with your account and can be accessed across devices.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Health Data: Used solely to provide your personal tracking experience. We do not analyze, monetize, or share your health data with any third party.
  • Community Data: Used to display your posts, comments, and profile to other community members.
  • Push Notifications: Used to notify you of likes, comments, and replies on your posts (registered users only).
  • Analytics: BloomSense does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs for your health data.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

Your health data is never shared with Shopify or linked to your shopping activity.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • Health data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on our cloud servers.
  • Community images are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls.
  • Authentication is handled via industry-standard OAuth 2.0 (Apple/Google) and Supabase Auth.
  • We do not store your Google or Apple account passwords.

6. Your Rights & Controls

Data Export: You can export all your data (community activity and local health logs) as a JSON file from the Privacy & Data page in Settings.

Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your community account and all associated data (profile, posts, comments, likes, images) from the Privacy & Data page. Local health logs on your device are not affected by account deletion.

Notification Controls: You can manage push notification preferences or disable them entirely from Settings.

Content Controls: You can block other users and manage your privacy settings from Settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

BloomSense is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Do Not Sell My Personal Information

BloomSense does not sell, share, or trade your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with data brokers. Your health data is used exclusively for your personal tracking, and your community data is used solely to provide the BloomSense community experience.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of BloomSense after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
